Overview

Azur Innovation Fund (AIF) is the largest seed fund in Moroccan history, managed by Azur Innovation Management (also known as Azur Partners) out of Casablanca. The fund raised 350 million dirhams (approximately €33 million / $35 million) at its first close in 2020, backed by an impressive roster of development finance institutions and Moroccan corporates including the Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF, €7 million), KfW (German Development Bank), African Development Bank, Caisse Centrale de Garantie, CIH Bank, SAHAM Assurances, BMCE Bank of Africa, and MASEN.

The fund operates within Morocco's Innov Invest ecosystem and provides equity and quasi-equity investments to innovative early-stage companies. Led by Managing Partner Tarik Haddi and Managing Director Adnane Filali, the team focuses on startups with proven innovative concepts and early demand signals. The portfolio includes companies across AI recruitment (KWIKS), electric mobility (GoSwap), loyalty technology (Tookeez), logistics (CloudFret), and more.
