Base Builder Rewards is a Coinbase Base-sponsored program, built and operated by Talent Protocol, that pays real ETH every week to the builders with the strongest verifiable footprint on Base. There is no pitch, no committee and no waiting period. Eligibility runs on three mechanical gates: hold a Basename (your onchain identity on Base), reach a Talent Protocol Builder Score of 40 or higher (calculated from verified crypto repository contributions and activity on deployed Base contracts), and pass a human verification check. Meet all three and you are automatically in the reward pool.
In the cycle we reviewed, the program distributed 2 ETH weekly across three tiers: the top 10 builders split 1 ETH proportionally, the next 25 split 0.5 ETH, and the next 65 split another 0.5 ETH. Base's own account has stated the program paid out over $100K in ETH during a "Spring League" period and opened a new "Summer League" cycle with a further 30 ETH pool, which tells you the program runs in named seasons rather than a single fixed total, and the exact season live at any given moment should be checked on the leaderboard before you quote a number to a founder.
This is deliberately not a grants program in the traditional sense. It rewards demonstrated activity rather than a proposal, which makes it the lowest-friction money on this page but also the hardest to game: your score is your application.
