Dragonfly is a global crypto venture firm with dual headquarters in New York City and Singapore, run by Managing Partners Haseeb Qureshi and Bo Feng alongside General Partners Tom Schmidt and Rob Hadick. The firm describes itself plainly as "a team of deeply technical crypto-natives," and its check range, $3 million to $30 million or more per deal out of a $650 million Fund III closed in April 2022, places it firmly in seed-through-growth territory rather than pre-seed.
The firm states it has backed more than 100 companies spanning DeFi, Layer 1s and Layer 2s, infrastructure, stablecoins and centralized finance. Publicly confirmed names include Bybit, Near Foundation, Dune Analytics, Ethena, Monad, Polygon, Optimism, Lido, dYdX and Arbitrum, a spread that skews toward Ethereum-ecosystem infrastructure and DeFi with meaningful positions in newer L1s like Monad and NEAR. Dragonfly runs real operating infrastructure around its investments: a dedicated Platform team led by Casey Taylor (Global Head of Founder Support) and a Portfolio Support Partner covering Asia (Tony Li), plus its own portfolio job board and an annual crypto compensation report used industry-wide as a benchmarking tool.
