“Investing in impact-driven early-stage startups in Africa, with a selective approach to investing in growth-stage startups globally.”
Endure Capital is a Cairo-headquartered venture fund founded in 2015 by serial entrepreneur Tarek Fahim. The firm manages $85 million in AUM across multiple vehicles, has deployed $27 million into 52 companies, and has completed four exits, including Careem (acquired by Uber for $3.1 billion in 2019).
The first fund delivered a 43% IRR and 4.3x multiple, placing it in the top quartile globally. The second vehicle, Endure 21, is a $50 million fund backed by British International Investment (BII) and Egypt's MSMEDA, targeting 24 companies with half the capital reserved for follow-on investments in top performers. The firm also announced the Arak Fund, a $200 million partnership with Saudi Arabia's Awaed Capital. While 60% of the portfolio is Egypt-based, Endure invests selectively in growth-stage companies globally, with portfolio companies like Boom Supersonic and Aspect Biosystems sitting alongside African startups like MaxAB and Breadfast.
