Overview

Overview

Oui Capital is a Lagos-based early-stage venture firm founded in 2019 by Olu Oyinsan and Francesco Andreoli. The firm invests at pre-seed and seed across Africa, with a portfolio of 24+ companies spanning fintech, digital commerce, enterprise software, and healthtech.

The firm made history in January 2025 by becoming Africa's first VC to fully return a 2019-vintage fund, driven by a 53x return on a $150,000 seed investment in Moniepoint. That $150K turned into $8 million when Oui Capital sold shares during Moniepoint's $110 million Series C at a $1 billion valuation. Their debut Mentors Fund I was $4 million, and Fund II (launched 2022) targets $30 million with cheques up to $750K. Portfolio companies across both funds have over $1.3 billion in aggregate market value.
