Splits below are computed from 20 companies named on Pantera's own site: 4 from the April 2026 Portfolio Spotlight post and 16 from the "2025 Wrapped" year-in-review post, plus one 2026 lead (TurboFlow) confirmed by The Block. Pantera's main portfolio grid at panteracapital.com/portfolio/ is JavaScript-rendered and would not return company names to our fetch tool, so we did not use it; Pantera itself says the firm has backed more than 100 blockchain companies and 110 early-stage token deals since 2013, so this sample is a fraction of the real portfolio. We excluded every company Pantera itself lists only as "Stealth" (unnamed).

C. Overview

C. Overview

Pantera Capital, founded by Dan Morehead in 2013, was the first US crypto-focused investment firm and has raised through four fund vintages: a $12M Venture Fund I built around Bitcoin infrastructure, a $23M Venture Fund II aimed at cross-border payments and exchanges, a $175M Venture Fund III built around institutionalizing digital assets, and the current $1.25B Blockchain Fund IV, which spans venture equity, early-stage tokens and liquid tokens. Its own portfolio page states the firm has backed more than 100 blockchain companies and 110 early-stage token deals since founding.

Unlike a fund that hides behind press releases, Pantera writes constantly: a monthly Portfolio Spotlight names specific companies with real metrics, and an annual Wrapped post reviews the year's bets by category. The April 2026 spotlight, for example, names Figure (RWA tokenization, Nasdaq-listed at a $6.6B market cap), Ondo Finance (tokenized institutional products, Series A co-led with Founders Fund), Surf AI (crypto-native AI research, $15M Series A led by Pantera) and M0 (application-specific stablecoin infrastructure). The 2025 Wrapped post groups the rest of the visible portfolio into infrastructure, stablecoins and payments, "internet capital markets," enterprise, consumer, and AI and robotics, several of which are still unnamed "Stealth" positions.

Pantera has also been an active 2026 lead investor in smaller rounds: The Block reported it led a $6M seed for TurboFlow, an Asia-focused onchain prediction markets and perpetuals platform, alongside Susquehanna Crypto and Digital Currency Group.

  • April 2026 spotlight names Figure, Ondo Finance, Surf AI, M0
  • 2026 lead investment: $6M seed for TurboFlow (with Susquehanna Crypto, Digital Currency Group)
