Plus VC (also styled +VC) is a MENA-focused seed-stage venture fund co-founded by Sharif El-Badawi and Hasan Haider, both former managing partners at 500 Startups' Falcons Fund where they completed 200+ transactions. The firm launched its $60 million debut fund in 2020, targeting at least 120 early-stage investments across the MENA region and diaspora.
The fund splits its capital 50/50 between initial seed investments (averaging $100K) and follow-on rounds for top performers (up to $500K). The portfolio has grown to 93+ companies spanning Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Tunisia, Lebanon, and the UK, and the firm is authorised by the ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority.
